'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League return

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is open to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, helping them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the maiden major achievement of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about coming back home as he earlier was, and would seriously think about lengthening his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an honest conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
