Former Arsenal Player Partey Pleads Not Guilty to Sexual Assault Charges
Thomas Partey, formerly of Arsenal, has submitted a not culpable plea to five counts of sexual violation and a single count of sexual assault at a London court.
He is accused of assaulting two women and sexually assaulting a additional woman. The alleged offenses are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022, while his time with Arsenal.
At a court session on midweek, Partey confirmed his name, date of birth, and denied all charges.
The legal proceeding came after his involvement as a substitute for the Spanish side in a Champions League match against Tottenham on the previous evening.
Judge Christopher Hehir announced: “The proceedings will begin at this court on 2 November 2026. Understand that is some time in advance. Due to the accumulation of cases, trials are delayed.”
Bail was approved under the same terms as before, which require avoiding communication with the alleged women and informing authorities of any address updates. Partey continues to represent the Ghana team.
Partey signed with Arsenal in the year 2020 from a La Liga team in a deal worth £45m. He subsequently moved to Villarreal in summer on a free transfer.
